To add a background to a drawing, you need to switch to the Background layer using the Layers popup.

Then, tap the Photo button and navigate to the photo of your choice in the albums stored on your iPad.

Once added to the background, the photo behaves like a regular object: it can be moved, resized or deleted.

When you switch back to a content layer, the background crops automatically to the size of the frame.
